Managing the key IT production resource = people
Dennis Adams Associates will be represented at this one-day conference and Exhibition for the BIG SIG
Presentation Abstract
IT Production Managers are familiar with the use of software tools and standard methodologies (such as ITIL or MOPS) to manage the IT Production environment.
However, it is less common to use a structured approach when it comes to dealing with the key resources - the people.
Most managers use Job Descriptions, key targets, or perhaps personal objectives and bonuses. However none of these helps you get inside people, to understand what motivates them or what you need to supply to individuals in order to get the best out of them.
This Presentation will discuss the use of personality profiling tools.
Such tools could be used by managers to understand their own leadership style, and to improve the way they motivate and lead their teams.
The presentation will cover:
- What do we mean by personality profiling?
- How can it be used successfully?
- What tools are on the market (including Meyers Briggs, 3P, DISC etc.).
- How can you benefit from a Birkman Method ® assessment?
- How your world can be coloured by your perceptions - with practical examples!
- How to deal with being different - in different ways.
- Why you should NOT "treat people as I want to be treated" !
Target Audience
This Seminar will be of interest to every individual who wants to improve the way they manage themselves and/or their teams.
